- Karyotype of both partners
- Analysis of Cystic fibrosis in one partner
- Spinal muscular atrophy in the other partner
Ultrasound checkup:
- This must be done on the 10th - 12th day of the menstrual cycle
- We need to know the thickness of the endometrio and the AFC (Antral follicle count)
- Results of a current semen analysis
Blood tests:

Preoperative assessment before the oocyte pickup. This means:
- Blood tests:
- Biochemistry: urea, creatinine, liver tests (bilirubin, ALT, AST, GMT), glucose, cholesterol
- Hematology: blood count, coagulation
- Urine collection for urine sediment
- Actual internal examination + electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Assessment by a general practitioner or an internist – confirming you can undergo anesthesia

Donor’s examination
Each donor undergoes a comprehensive range of tests and examinations, which include:
- An assessment of their general health, including BMI
- Gynaecological examination
- Establishing their family history
- Genetic testing of the donor’s blood
- Interview with a geneticist
- Test for sexually transmitted diseases
Donors are usually aged 18-32. According to Czech law, women up to the age of 35 can donate their eggs. We also have some donors who are over the age of 30 but have already successfully donated eggs, i.e., the recipients are pregnant or have already given birth to healthy children. These successful donors can continue to donate even after the age of 30.
