Donors are young women aged between 18 and 33 years who undergo the necessary examinations in accordance with the European tissue legislation and the recommendations of professional societies (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics of Czech Medical Society of J. E. Purkyně) before being included in the donation program.
The donor is selected by the physician based on the couple’s requirements. The donor’s blood group, weight, height, hair and eye color, and educational background are decisive for matching. The aim is to achieve the best possible match with the requirements of the couple being treated. Egg donation in the Czech Republic is completely anonymous by law.
If you prefer visiting charming historic cities instead of experiencing the kind of crowds that you’ll see e.g. in our capital city Prague, then Olomouc may be a perfect destination for you! It is the sixth largest city in the country (way smaller than Prague but it may be its advantage :)) Its well-preserved Old Town belongs to the most beautiful ones in Czechia and boasts a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It attracts many domestic and foreign tourists, but the city still seems somewhat underrated. Btw. it's super easy to make a trip to Prague or Vienna.
